Bear with me. My goal of this blog is to tell you about all of my favorite things and ways to do things in my home. But is it? I’m having trouble getting started.
I am a cluttered perfectionist. Which turns into a procrastiner sometimes. I was always a messy carefree little lady growing up; my room was always an atrocious mess!! But I remember when it was time to clean up I would really focus and I would want it done “perfectly”. My room would look brand new. .. Now fast forward a few …ahem… years… I am 31 years old and I am an official clutterbug perfectionist. What I mean by that is that I make such a mess when I do things and never really make it a priority to clean up right away because I am rushing to the next thing… But the perfectionist in me literally wants to turn around and see my home spotless!!
Help help! 🙂 I am a stay at home mom so my 2 year old and I are here a lot and always making messes! The two things I am trying lately that are helping are a cleaning schedule and learning about minimalism. Now don’t get me wrong… I don’t want one of those sparkling white houses with nothing in it and only two toys for our daughter. But I do think some of the principals of “Minimalistic living” are good for your brain/soul!! ( Or mine anyways) We have donated/gotten rid of/Sold A LOT of stuff in our house and I am on a roll. Basically I follow the rule of keeping your home full of things that you use and you LOVE! How many times have you opened your closet, linen closet, garage, basement, cleaning cabinet? And had to push away half of the items in that area to find what you actually want. It helps to get rid of that clutter! It’s made a huge change in myself but I feel like I have just started on this journey.
I am trying to help you understand me. LOL Do I sound crazy? Trust me it’s not the first time I’ve heard this. But let’s get past it because I want to tell you about so many ideas, products, “pins”, websites, methods, schedules that make my life better.
